In an effort to get this blog up and running again, I am opening the floor for other blogs just starting out to advertise here.  For now the prices are modest since my blog is not generating tons of traffic yet.  If that changes, however, so will the deals on this page.

Requirements

I’m not going to let just anyone advertise here, you have to be related in some way.  Your site has to be family friendly for the most part. (No p0rn, but some swearing can be overlooked, use your best judgement).  No YouTube, Etsy, Facebook, or Twitter pages.  Your site has to be a blog or a website, no social media profiles.  You have to have something on your site related to mine, advertising only works if we have similar readers.  Your banner also has to be approved by me. If you’d like me to make you a banner (by providing me the images and colors) I will do so at no charge.

Things I’m looking for:

• YouTubers with homepages.
• Film Makers
• Crafters
• Cosplayers
• Photographers
• Bloggers similar to me in some way

OPTION 1: TRADE

If you don’t want to spend money on an ad, this is for you.  You have to have a similar traffic to your site as mine. (Which, right now is probably easy) Basically you agree to place my ad on your site as well.  It has to be in a simular place (Side bars or top banner area, somewhere where it’s seen mostly all the time) You can chose the 185×185 banner or the 185×370 banner as long as you place the same one on your site. )

OPTION 2: MONTHLY

This option is not available till I get more traffic to my website, insuring it’s worth it for you.  Here are my potential price ideas.

1 month – $10
2 months – $15
3 months – $20

I found an old letter sized notepad, never been used, as I was cleaning out my desk one day. There are 100 pages in it, all with cute and sometimes creepy anime artwork on them and poorly translated sayings. I’ve never had a use for it, till now.  I really enjoy getting letters in the mail and I only ever do when I order something from an online shop.  So I am giving out my address (within reason) to YouTubers and vlogges who want to send me a bit of snail mail.  It could be a nice letter, a bit of art, fan mail (haha), or even a package.  (But really, just a nice heartfelt letter will do).  For every letter I receive with the quote ’100 Letters’ on the envelope, I will send a letter back with one of the stationary pages.  Each page will be numbered so you can see what page you got and I will also give you an optional ‘challenge’ to complete on YouTube.

I hope that the friends I’ve made online will participate and I hope to make new friends as a result as well.  Please, if you are interested, follow this blog or subscribe to my youtube channel.  Spread the word!  For those of you not a part of the YouTube community but still want to participate, consider starting a YouTube channel.  It’s free and fun and even if you only use it for this project, I would be grateful.

To become one of the 100 people to receive a letter and optional challenge, there are 2 steps:

[ONE] To ensure you are who you say you are I ask that you have a YouTube account with at least one vlog so I can see you…make sure you’re real. The acceptation to this is if you are a close personal friend or relative of either me or someone who has a YouTube account with at least one vlog and they can verify you are not a creeper. Just message me the details on YouTube from your account. Here is my YouTube account. (Note: If you are a mail enthusiast and really don’t care for online video and vlogs and you still want to be a part of this project. Feel free to email me. MagicCatJenny [at] gmail [dot] com, I’d rather the 100 people be YouTubers but I just don’t know if I can get 100, so I’m not completely making it a requirement.)

[TWO] Send me mail! Be sure to include the phrase ‘100 Letters’ on the envelope, so I know to identify it. Once I receive your letter/drawing/postcard/package/whatever I will send you back your letter. You will know what your number is and I will add a small optional request for you to do in a video. This costume was thrown together for the Midnight Premiere of Serenity.  My friends threw together costumes of other characters from Firefly as well.  We saw Serenity at the ArcLight in Hollywood and our group was only one of the many Firefly cosplay groups there that night. This costume is retired as it was really just for the night.

This is actually a character from a book series, Dangerous Angels by Francesca Lia Block.  Witch Baby (or Nina Bruja as she’s sometimes known) is an orphan with purple eyes and messy black hair who was adopted as an infant.  She always feels [...]]]>

This is actually a character from a book series, Dangerous Angels by Francesca Lia Block.  Witch Baby (or Nina Bruja as she’s sometimes known) is an orphan with purple eyes and messy black hair who was adopted as an infant.  She always feels out of place and she plays the drums to get her emotion out and wears fake wings.  She sometimes has cowboy boot roller skates, but I did not have the time to build some of my own. (Though I really would love to own some one day.)  This costume was worn to Anime Expo in 2004 when I was 18.  No one knew who was and when I told them they assumed it was from some anime they had never heard of.  The costume is retired as the wings are not my own.

I wore this costume for Halloween in 2003 (my senior year of high school). The character is Lydia from the Tim Burton film, Beetlejuice.  I dressed in the outfit you first see her in, a black dress with a black straw hat shaded in a lace veil.  I borrowed my dad’s old film camera to complete the character.  I actually went around taking photos with it all day at school.  I like this character and can relate to her a bit so this costume is not entirely retired.  My friend Caitlin dressed as my Beetlejuice and we were quite a hit.

This costume was worn to my first convention ever.  It was Anime Expo in 2003 and I was 17.  I went with my friends who were way more into anime than I was at the time so I dressed as a cartoon character I actually liked.  I know X-Men Evolution is in no way anime but I did not really care at the time.  Most people thought I was dressed as a J-Pop star or something anyways.  I put it together from things I already owned and bought some cheep spray on white hair spray.  Overall the con was pretty fun considering we only went one day.  My favorite part was definitely seeing everyone in costumes.  This costume is now retired since it was not really a costume so much as a last minute thrown together idea.
